Out of the speakers. Around you.
Sound seems to leave your MacBook and fill the space around you. Well-recorded albums and binaural recordings sound the best.

Less of each speaker reaches the wrong ear.
On a laptop, both of your ears hear both speakers, which keeps sound close to the screen. 3D Audio MacBook reduces the sound from each speaker that reaches the opposite ear, so audio seems to come from a wider space.
Everything is in one small menu.
Click the ear icon in your menu bar to turn 3D Audio on or off, compare with and without the filter, and choose your MacBook size.
